Corporate Responsibility Magazine has announced the finalists for the 10th annual Responsible CEO of Year Award, and for the seventh annual Lifetime Achievement Award. These prestigious awards are presented by previous winners to those leaders practising positive corporate social responsibility (CSR). The awards ceremony will be held at the CR Magazine Commit!Forum at the MGM National Harbor in Maryland on October 11 and 12, 2017. A two-day roundtable will feature speakers and interviewers, such as Triple Pundit’s Nick Aster (“people, planet, profit”) and Joe Johns of CNN, discussing CSR trends and issues.
The 2017 Finalists for the Responsible CEO of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Awards are:

• Donald W. Slager, president and CEO at Republic Services, Inc.
• Jim Goodnight, CEO and co-founder at SAS
• Kenneth M. Sullivan, president and CEO at Smithfield Foods, Inc.
• Tom Szaky, founder and CEO at TerraCycle, Inc.
• Anthony Haines, president and CEO at Toronto Hydro Corporation
• Terry D. McCallister, chairman and CEO at WGL Holdings, Inc. and Washington Gas
The 2016 winners of the Responsible CEO of the Year Awards were Richard Noll, Chairman and CEO of HanesBrands, and Richard Shadyac, President and CEO, ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Shadyac was the only nonprofit CEO to have ever won this award.
