Did you know that eating one meat-free meal a week can save up to 62kg of CO2 per year, the same amount of energy it takes to power a compact fluorescent lightbulb for 4,430 hours? Just imagine the impact you will have by going vegan or vegetarian!
Green Monday, a social enterprise based in Hong Kong, has recently launched its meat-free Monday campaign with fast-food restaurant chain Cafe de Coral. Every Monday, a variety of vegetarian dishes are available to encourage customers to opt for something that is healthy and green.
If you're into cooking, make sure to join Green Monday's cooking classes at City'Super where you can learn to create delicious dishes such as cauliflower soup with pumpkin cream and braised sweet soya eggplant with seaweed!
Green Monday has also started doing corporate green lunch gatherings through catering services from Cafe Habitu and Cafe de Coral. Be sure to check that out as well!
