Secret Ingredient (DIY cuisine delivered to your door)
Why take your lover out for a meal when you can dine naked?
“As we say, why give a gift when you can give your loved ones an experience they’ll never forget!” explains Maximilian Von Poelnitz, founder of the unique 'we prep it, you cook it' concept that has taken Hong Kong by storm in the past few years.
How does it work? Secret Ingredient shops, chops and preps ingredients and send them to you fresh, with step-by-step directions, so that anyone can cook a delicious meal with zero kitchen expertise. The company sources its meats from a single grass fed farm in Australia, and its produce from sustainable farms in both Australia and Hong Kong, so you can trust the food you are working with.
Their Valentine’s Day Specials sell out every year, so order early - this year we're loving the delectable-looking Lobster with Black Truffle Linguini and Side Salad, at HKD $350 for two people. Ad for a little extra they'll deliver wine too. Get your romance ON!

Fish School (sustainable seafood and local produce)
Some say there is no better way to spoil a Hong Konger than with seafood. At Fish School, you can do it the sustainable way with this 8-course menu at HKD $650 per person. The restaurant focuses their energy on sourcing fresh, sustainable wild and farmed seafood, as much as possible locally. They also work with local farmers for their produce.
All guests will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine before diving into the catch of the day. The menu sounds delectable: begin with the local pike eel quenelle soup, followed by the marinated raw crab and sea urchin rice, monkfish liver foie gras pressé with aged tangerine peel and roselle, grilled cuttlefish with nasturtium and kale. This is followed by the heirloom vegetables and herbs garden “gargouillou” and Australian wagyu bavette served with lemon marigold sorbet and poached plumand roselle. The menu is topped off with sesame mousse and ginger granite paired with homemade tofu, for a light, Asian-influenced dessert.
Fish School is located in hip and happening Sai Ying Pun, perfect for post-dinner drinks in one of the neighbourhood's many trendy venues, or a romantic stroll down to the waterfront nearby.
