Refreshingly modern café
Baked goods and juices in Sheung Wan, HK

Nestled in Sheung Wan’s Bonham Strand, Graze is a modern western-style café serving coffee, smoothies, salads, pastas, sandwiches and baked items such as muffins. The décor is casual and bright, with wifi and comfortable seating. A cozy space upstairs offers a relaxing cozy place for a chat or to settle in with a book.
I couldn’t resist trying the blue cheese, cranberry and walnut muffin – where else in town do you see such creative combinations in a small, local cafe setting? The savoury muffin was moist, and filled with wholesome ingredients, and I could distinguish the individual flavours of each of its 3 main ingredients.
To accompany my muffin, I ordered the temptingly named ‘Tropical Bliss’, which is a banana, mango, pineapple and soya blended smoothie. It was neither astounding nor bad, just exactly what I expected from the ingredients listed. It struck me as a great ‘pick-me-up’ shake for an energy boost in the morning or afternoon.
For vegetarians and vegans, Graze offers daily soups, pastas and salad choices, with creative salads including the Thai-inspired pomelo salad and a baby spinach, toasted walnut & blue cheese salad. Omnivores will also enjoy the quiches and daily fresh selection of sandwiches. In addition to its healthy options, Graze contributes to the environment with its 100% recyclable, microwaveable takeaway container, lightening the footprint a little for people who need takeaway.
