Hong Kong Green Building Council welcomes new leader

Conrad Wong Tin Cheung, JP succeeds Ir Dr Andrew K C Chan, JP as the Chairman of the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) with effect from 1 January 2012. Conrad has over 20 years of construction project management experience. He is Vice Chairman of Yau Lee Holdings Limited, Managing Director of Yau Lee Construction Company Limited and Yau Lee Wah Concrete Precast Products Ltd., Vice Chairman of REC Engineering Company Limited as well as Chief Executive Officer of VHSoft Technologies Company Limited.
As the immediate Past Chairman of the Industry Standards and Professional Practices Committee of HKGBC, Conrad is committed in policy advocacy and setting industry standards to promote green buildings. Recent initiatives of the committee include the research and development of a Hong Kong based Green Building Product Labelling Scheme and a Building Energy Benchmarking Labelling Scheme as well as the research on Establishing a Hong Kong Based Carbon Labelling Framework for Construction Materials.

The Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) is the leading body driving the promotion and creation of green, sustainable buildings and standards throughout Hong Kong, engaging community, industry and government to create a greener, more sustainable environment.
