We love supporting good causes and Ecozine was delighted to attend a special taste-sesh for the next “The Great Chefs of Hong Kong”, happening on April 27th at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in Wan Chai. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Society's Parents Resource Centres, where 4,000 children and youth as well as their families receive timely and holistic support every year.

Celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year, this unique dining experience brings together nearly 50 of Hong Kong's favourite dining destinations for a night where the best chefs and industry players come together as friends for a worthy cause.

During our press preview, we sampled delicious signature dishes spanning the globe. Here are the top dishes that we would love to eat again at this feast for the eyes and palate!!

Pan-fried scallops in Grand Marnier Sauce (from 5R):
The sashimi grade scallops were perfectly crispy on the outside and yet ever so tender on the inside. The Grand Marnier sauce gives it a refreshing bite.

Warm Lobster Sub, Garlic Butter, Avocado, Charcoal Bun (from Grand Hyatt Hong Kong):
Charcoal bun is the new black! The color brings a sensational look and delicious taste for the sandwich. The lobster was also delicious and you can feel the high quality. For garlic lovers this is a must have!

Dong Lai Shun Lamb Dumpling (from The Royal Garden):
With mutton hind leg as the main ingredient mixed with cumin powder and a selection of spices, the Lamb Dumpling will give you a unique and unforgettable taste.

Assorted chocolates (from The Peninsula Boutique):
The finest natural ingredients are used and the truth is that is impossible to eat only one. Chocolates lovers, prepare your palate for a fresh and flavorful chocolate selection.

Sweet Ending (from Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong):
Inspired by the chef’s childhood dish made by his grandmother, the dessert is a combination of yogurt Espuma, strawberry tartare and confit rhubarb. Sounds delicious right? Imagine if you try it.
