The Nature Conservancy (www.tnc.org.hk) wants to spark a conversation around nature and what it means to all of us with the launch of a global photo contest. The "What's Your Nature?" digital photo contest asks participants to submit photos showing their connection with nature for a chance to win prizes—and a chance to inspire.

"Nature is inherent in the stunning backdrop of Hong Kong but is often undervalued and overlooked due to our busy lifestyles. The Nature Conservancy's global photo contest gives all Hong Kongers a chance to pause and capture the unique natural beauty, expressing what nature means to them on a personal level, and sharing it with people around the world ," says Louisa Ho, Executive Director of TNC Hong Kong.

To enter, participants can upload photos at www.tnc.org.hk/naturephotocontest from their computer or submit them directly from Facebook, Instagram or Twitter between now and May 31. We want to see photos that tell a story about what nature means on a personal level: How do we connect with it? How is it important to our lives? What's your nature?

An international judging panel—including Hong Kong's own Sean Lee-Davies—will announce their top 100 photos from a combination of eight categories (Overall, Mobile, Young Photographers (18-25), People and Nature, Underwater, Wildlife, Adventure, and Nature in Cities) on June 16. Then, the public can vote for the "People's Choice" winner through June 30. All winners will be announced online within 10 days of July 1, 2017.
