In my previous post, we looked at the pros and cons of coffee and caffeine. If you’re confused about whether or not to give-up your morning latte, why not crowd-out those thoughts and relax with this delicious alternative.
 
Makes 2 servings:
 
• 1 Heaped scoop of Vanilla Sun-Warrior plant-based protein – for a protein-boost and an alternative to the usual milk in a latte or frappe. Many people are dairy intolerant, and don’t even realize the silent inflammation and mucus its causing inside the body. We’re the only animals on the plant choosing to drink another animal’s milk - just something to think about.
 
• 2 Cups of cold water  - optional almond or nut “milk” for extra calcium and protein.
 
• 2 Tablespoons of coffee alternative like Dandy Blend Instant Herbal Coffee Substitute - caffeine free and gluten free, this delicious blend has no acidity or bitterness. It’s made of water-soluble extracts of roasted roots of dandelion, chicory and beets, and the grains of barley and rye.  Dandelion coffee is said to be a good tonic for the liver.
 
• 2-3 Drops of vanilla liquid stevia or natural vanilla essence.
 
• 1 Tablespoon of raw and organic cacao powder
 
 Blend with a few cubes of ice, pour into a cup and sprinkle with a few raw cacao nibs for extra energy and antioxidants – cacao is one of the world’s “super foods”, it is super disease-fighting antioxidant rich.
