Ecozine LIVE! a hit
Many thanks to our speakers, partners, volunteers, and of course, our guests!

After months of preparation, our Ecozine LIVE! event went off without a hitch this past Saturday on World Oceans Day! None of it would have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors Nomura and Dopper, and our friends at Ecovision Asia and the Hong Kong Cleanup. If you weren’t able to join us, fear not. With the production support of Oriental Press Group, Associate partner of the Hong Kong Cleanup, the whole day was video-recorded – look out for the videos on and in the coming weeks!

Our keynote speaker, Paul Rose, Vice President of the Royal Geographic Society and polar expert, came all the way from the UK and kicked off the event with an inspirational talk that really set the tone for the day. All of our speakers kept the positive energy flowing throughout the day as they shared their own stories, leaving guests feeling more informed and hopeful for a sustainable future for Hong Kong, and the world.

During breaks, delicious refreshments were offered by MANA! Fast Slow Food, Secret Ingredient, and Edible Arrangements. Beyond O2 set up a water station for guests to fill up their complimentary Doppers. We also had a Green Shop curated by A Boy Named Sue, carrying a selection of fashionable clothes and accessories, 100% handmade natural soaps from So Soap, natural soy wax candles from Ecoya, jewelry made from sustainable/recycled materials by Niin, and bamboo products from Bamboa. Not only that, Emi and Eve brought in jewelry and clutches made with recycled bullet casings.

At the end of the day, we had a special afterparty at RED IFC, where guests mingled, continued networking, and joined us in celebrating a wonderful day. The highlight of the afterparty was a lucky draw – we definitely heard some squeals of excitement from a young guest who won a steel Dopper, one of the firsts to get one as they’re not even on the market yet!

A special mention must go out to all of our wonderful volunteers – without your support, Ecozine LIVE! would not have run as smoothly as it did. You’re all awesome! And a huge thanks to for helping to manage all the volunteers!

We hope everyone had a great time (we sure did!) and join us at our next event – whenever that may be!
